Alienware Aurora 2019 – Should You Buy?

After hearing all the buzz about the Alienware Aurora 2019 desktop I had to do the research and find out just how cool this computer is. This review covers everything I found in my research including the Alienware Aurora 2019’s weaknesses.

Or if you would rather just know where the best place to buy is I recommend Amazon as they have the best price I’ve found online and the safest/most secure ordering. You can buy Alienware Aurora 2019 from Dell online.

Alienware Aurora 2019 – The Good

After doing hours of research on this product I can confidently say that I have rarely found a product that gets such high ratings and has such great customer satisfaction.

The Alienware Aurora 2019 is made for avid gamers who want a capable gaming desktop for when they’re on the go and it fulfills this mission. If you’re looking for a desktop/laptop that will run the latest games the best, the Alienware Aurora 2019 seems to be the best option on the market. Understand, it wont be like PC gaming on a desktop computer but after spending hours in forums, reading blogs, and reading reviews of the Alienware Aurora 2019 it looks like this is the best you can get as far as portable gaming goes.

Most games run great at mid to high settings and we’re not talking your average game – games like Modern Warfare 2, Far Cry 6, Forza Horizon 5 and Deathloop, and for a great gaming desktop it’s very affordable. For a preview of how the Alienware Aurora 2019 performs with the latest games see the video below.

If you’re not a gamer you’ll most likely still be happy with this desktop, although I would only recommend it to buyers who want it for portable gaming. If you’re not into gaming then there’s really better desktops/laptops that would suit your needs than the Alienware Aurora 2019.

It’s constructed well, feels solid, and seems like it’s able to handle the little bumps and bruises it may get while on the go.

Its very portable at a total size of just over 11.8 inches and weighs a little over 4 pounds.

It’s incredibly fast although I have read a couple of customer reviews that say its a little slow when first starting up the internet but they were still very pleased with the speed.

One of it’s strong points is it’s exceptional battery life – running on integrated graphics mode (function-F6 to switch), it gets around 7-8 hours of run time. That’s using webcam, browsing the web on Wi-fi, listening to music, etc. When you switch over to gaming mode, you will still get in a solid 3-4 hours or so of game time.

One thing I thought was kind of cool about this laptop is that everything that is red in the picture above you can change to just about any color you like in the settings and it has a really cool back lit keyboard.

Other great features include an HDMI output port so you can plug it into your TV, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, built-in SD reader, and an integrated SIM card port for wireless networking which allows users to pop in a smart phone or network SIM card and get access to the internet anywhere the network is supported.

Alienware Aurora 2019 – The Bad

A couple of negative points I found while researching this desktop –

A couple of customer reviews I read said that the speakers aren’t the best quality so don’t expect high quality sound from the factory speakers. Most laptops don’t have that great of speakers though so this didn’t influence my overall impression of the Alienware Aurora 2019 and most of the customer reviews I read did not mention the speakers as being of poor quality.

One thing a lot of customers mentioned is the highly-reflective screen. If you’re in a well lit room its difficult to see if you’re playing a game with a dark background due to the glare.

This laptop also does not come with an optical drive, meaning you’ll most likely have to download programs/games online. Some people don’t like this but this seems to be the way the industry is going right now.

This is also one of those difficult to find desktop, especially at your local Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc. Chances are they won’t have it. You’re better off buying it online from a reputable online store like Amazon. I recommend Amazon mainly because they simply have the best price I’ve found on the web for the Alienware Aurora 2019 and they offer the most safe/secure ordering.

If you are able to buy the Alienware Aurora 2019 remember not to install the disk that comes with the laptop. If you do it has been known to delete all of the drivers and you could have to spend hours at on a wired internet connection (it might delete the wi-fi drivers) to get them back on your computer.

Overall the Alienware Aurora 2019 is a great desktop and if you are remotely as happy with it as most other customers who bought the Alienware Aurora 2019 then you wont be disappointed. If you’re in the market for a high-tech gaming desktop, I highly recommend this product.
